RETAIL RETURNS POLICY 

Change of Mind Policy 

No Change of Mind Returns 

Due to repeated misuse of our returns process, Abracadabra Fancy Dress Hire P/L no longer accepts returns for change of mind under any circumstances. 

We kindly ask customers to choose carefully when making a purchase. This policy is standard practice for many small businesses, particularly within the costume and specialty retail industry. 

We are committed to providing respectful and professional service and expect the same in return. Aggressive, abusive, or intimidating behaviour regarding our return policy will not be tolerated. 

 

ACCC Consumer Guidelines 

In accordance with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) consumer guarantees, customers are not entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if: 

  • They simply changed their mind. 
  • They found the item cheaper elsewhere. 
  • They decided they no longer like or need the item. 
  • The incorrect size was selected. 
  • The product was misused or damaged after purchase. 
  • They were aware of a fault before purchasing the item (unless a separate undisclosed issue arises). 

 

Product Faults & Returns 

If you believe an item is faulty, please notify Abracadabra Fancy Dress as soon as possible by emailing clear photographs of the defect. 

The item must not have been worn or used prior to reporting the issue. 

To qualify for a replacement: 

  • The item must be returned within 7 days of purchase. 
  • The item must be unworn and in its original packaging. 
  • A valid proof of purchase must be provided. 
  • Items that have been worn, used, altered, or damaged will not be accepted. 

We aim to resolve genuine product faults promptly and fairly in line with Australian Consumer Law.
